Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to create detailed images of internal organs, blood vessels, muscles, joints, and soft tissues. It is painless, radiation-free, and provides valuable information to help diagnose many medical conditions.

Abdominal Ultrasound

Examines the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, and other abdominal organs to detect abnormalities.

Thyroid Ultrasound

Evaluates thyroid size, nodules, and other changes affecting hormone production.

Breast Ultrasound

Detects lumps, cysts, and other breast tissue changes for early intervention.

Prostate Ultrasound

What to Expect During Your Ultrasound

1. Check In

Our staff will welcome you, verify your appointment, and answer any questions before your exam.

2. Your Examination

A clear gel is applied to the area being examined while a handheld transducer creates detailed images.

3. Comfortable & Safe

Ultrasound uses sound waves—not radiation—and most exams take between 20 and 45 minutes.

4. Results

Your provider will review the images and discuss the results with you once available.

How to Prepare for Your Ultrasound

  • Follow any fasting instructions provided before your appointment.
  • Drink water beforehand if instructed for pelvic or bladder ultrasounds.
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
  • Bring your identification, insurance card, and physician order if applicable.
  • Arrive 10–15 minutes early for check-in.
  • If you have questions about preparation, call our office before your visit.
