Intake MA
Primary Focus: Patient rooming and intake
- Greet and room patients
- Give Room Prices
- Take vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, oxygen, weight)
- Update and verify patient charts, documentation, and insurance info
- Check for missing forms or paperwork
- Call patients for reminders or follow-ups
- Answer phones and respond to basic inquiries
- Assist with prices ONLY when lab MA is too busy
- Maintain patient flow in a fast-paced environment
Lab & Procedure MA
Primary Focus: Lab and procedural assistance
- Draw blood, perform phlebotomy
- Collect and process lab specimens
- Prepare and assist with minor procedures (e.g., injections, EKGs)
- Sterilize and prepare instruments
- Maintain lab supplies and equipment
- Document lab results in the EHR
- Give Room Prices
- Assist providers during procedures
Phone MA / Floater
Primary Focus: Paperwork/ Support wherever needed
- Cover front desk or intake ONLY when busy
- Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments
- Check Documents and chart
- Call No shows, Remind appointments
- Answer incoming calls
- Give Room prices
- Restock supply anywhere as needed
Front Desk MA
Primary Focus: Check in Patients
- Greet patients warmly and professionally
- Verify and update patient demographics and contact info
- Educate patients on vitmains and meds
- Prepare patient charts
- Schedule follow-ups
- Scans Paper/ upload
- Check insurance eligibility and
- Collect payments
- Ensure all required paperwork (consent forms, HIPAA, medical history) is completed
